the best care for your pets

For Dogs:

A £40 non-refundable deposit is charged on 3 nights or more for a kennel on confirmation of booking

All dogs must have been vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvovirus. A certificate of inoculation must be produced when dropping off pets for boarding. We do not insist on the Kennel Cough interact but contact your vet for advice. The kennel manager will try to contact the owner / emergency contact in the event of a medical issue. If a visit to the vet is required, the kennel manager will take the pet to either Pike Moor or Companion Care, if the pet's own vet is not in easy travelling distance. A charge of £30 each way is payable for travel expenses. Copperbeech will pay for treatment whilst the pet is boarding and the owner agrees to reimburse the kennels on collection of the pet. In the event of the pet being unable to be saved, the kennel manager will only give consent for euthansia where it is imperative for the pets welfare after attempting to contact the owner. If there is evidence of fleas, ticks, lice etc, the kennel manager has the authority to treat the condition after discussion with a vet. Boarding is agreed to on an understanding that if the pet is not collected within 14 days of the agreed departure date (and any subsequent boarding fee arrears paid), Copperbeech kennels will become the automatic owners of the pet and have the authority to sell or otherwise re-home them. Where previously agreed, pets from the same household may share a kennel, however if a problem arises, Copperbeech has the right to separate animals sharing boarding for the safety of staff or pets. It is understood that Copperbeech may post pictures of pets on social media. Data is held on a contractual basis only; our full privacy policy is available on
request. Toys and bedding are provided by Copperbeech, or the owner at the owners risk.  We will try to return bedding and toys but apologise if this is not possible, due to animals chewing or other issues. Please make sure the toys DO NOT have squeakers or batteries in them as they are a choking hazard (they will be thrown away) Please inform us if you do not want your pet to have toys.
